If this was an actual sanctioned match GGG would have put Mosley away. His style is most effective when he's not pulling punches.

Looked like the same Triple G to me, just sparring a guy who was giving him more movement than he'd like. But when he would get close you could see him throwing punches like he does in an actual fight.

im honestly not sold on GGG as the real deal.. he does have exceptional power and cuts off the ring well, but he doesnt throw combinations and doesnt have great hand speed. i think a quick combination puncher who can land some punches and get out would give him serious problems

I think moving up to 168 and fighting the likes of Ward, Froch, Kessler, Groves, Bika would really show what GGG has. The only good fighters at 160 are Martinez and Murray, Martinez is old and on his way out and Murray beat him. Murray is inconsistent.

Ward, Kessler, Froch, Groves, Bika these guys have more mileage in them and are battle tested and consistent. The frustrating thing is that if he moves up to 168 he'd get all the big fights he craves for but he decides to stay at 160 fighting fringe contenders and wanting Martinez who has bigger fish to fry.

Shane is a smaller fighter and in sparring, often smaller fighters movement and speed can get the bigger guys. In a real fight the smaller gloves, and YES the headgear will make a difference. Guys like Pac have close sparring because his power is less effective.

It's very blurry but GGG does seem to block a lot of Moseley's shot on closer inspection, but his footwork was terrible because he commits for his hard shots. Ward would literally make him look like Froch 2.

Now Martinez is hittable, even though he uses movement, his defence is actually poor.

Further proof GGG is only really effective against a static target.
Rosado showed this, Stevens showed this, Macklin was fine until he got trapped on the ropes, Proksa had good success when he boxed until he stood his ground as did they all.

He freezes when you let your hands go.

Stick him behind the jab, turn him, stay the hell of the ropes & put your combinations together - He'll freeze and push him back.

I think that Russian that knocked out Jacobs beats him and Jacobs if his chin holds up. I am not sold on GGG. A good boxer with good movement, conditioning/chin and fundamentals will embarrass him.

Look at him in the clinch, you'd think Mosley was the damn middleweight.
