FAir enough - and I realize who Boone ,so I'm not concluding he's just some chinny pretender. Nor would i conclude that Kov is the same fighter who got blasted in his video. I'm just looking at how wide open tthey both were before the final shot, i know you see it too lol..dont just point at Kovalev. I can picture either of them taking advantage of each other. And now there is bad blood brewing, every punch will be vicious. Anyway bro, i gotta nod off nowcheck u later

But since the "Simakov kill" (I mean the last six fights) all Kov's opponents (Boone included) were terrified when they came into the ring with the Russian monsta'... I mean that Kovalev boxed with a psychological advantage ever since the Simakov fight. I don't know if Adonis is able to surmount such a psychological gap, but I think that B-Hop or rather Andre Ward could...Comment

the headgear makes no difference to punches to the chin, just protects the face from swelling and cuts. the gloves however are night and day. only 2 oz difference in size but they are constructed entirely different and amateur style gloves are pillows compared t pro style gloves.
other than that you are spot on, boone isnt a world class fighter but he is a world class puncher. he had kovalev just as badly hurt only difference the ref gave him a chance to continue and he weathered the storm as opposed to stevenson who beat the count in the same manner but wasnt given that opportunity. he also had ward on the canvas, dude can crack.
thing is adonis' boxing skills are vastly improves now compared to when he lost to boone, that was evident in their rematch. kovalev has a punchers chance against anyone but his skill level isnt on par with stevenson who has just as much power and seems to have an even better chin.
kovalev has a punchers chance against anyone but stevenson is the better fighter. there is a reason kovalev isnt willing to fight the likes of pascal or dawson to earn a shot at stevenson, but is just calling him out prematurely hoping to land that payday before it goes away.
You're actually suggesting that Kovalev knows he would lose against any of these guys and is afraid to face them? smh. On what to do you base this assumption - the Mk I eyeball test? So, if he wants to fight Stevenson it's cos he's ducking Pascal and Dawson? How do you argue with logic like that? LOL.
Hell, I'm sure he'd love to fight Pascal, but the simple fact is that Stevenson's a bigger prize and has his own belt and the winner of such a fight would be considered a major star in the sport.
Look, the two fighters have the same number of fights, nearly the same number of KOs - both had a breakout year in 2013 with 4 big KOs, both became titlists last year. They appear almost perfectly evenly matched - if you favour Stevenson that's fair enough - what males this fight such a must is because it's so difficult to call. It is a must see fight tho, and to call it 'premature' is simply absurd.Comment

There's lots of boxing talent right now in the former Soviet republics.
His right place is at the SMW... But you never know with these "Soviet guys" -- sometimes they develop an early Vodka habit...Comment

#1Assassin "there is a reason kovalev isnt willing to fight the likes of pascal or dawson to earn a shot at stevenson"
According to poor #1Assassin now Kovalev has "to earn a shot at Stevenson"... These guys are all acting as if following the same pattern...Comment
