I won't be surprised. He uses money for everything, friends, girlfriends, happiness... not to mention he lives in one of the most expensive places on earth.

By the time he reaches 40 he'll be contemplating on going back to the ring. But he won't fight. He'd rather die of hunger than lose his zero.

Whether Floyd goes broke or stays rich for life does not effect me in any way whatsoever so I have no stake or ill wishes towards him and his finances. Will he go broke eventually?....There's a good chance he will. Either that or he will end up in debt with the I.R.S the same way Tyson and Holyfield have.

Remember when Floyd temporarily retired in 09? Well in that short time he ended up in financial trouble and that's when Oscar stepped in to help him pay back $10mil in taxes. This story is inaccurate in saying that Larry Holmes lost his money. Larry Holmes is a wealthy man today and one of the few boxers of his era that is a multimillionaire. I get the part that Holmes engaged in wasteful spending in his younger years but he is currently more financially stable than Tyson and Holyfield who happen to have made more money per fight than Holmes.

VERY irresponsible "journalism." Larry Holmes did not go broke. I talked with him in Easton like 4 months ago at his bar, where he owns the ENTIRE business complex on Larry Holmes Dr. Even the IRS rents from him. He may not be stinking wealthy but he's clearly got all the money he will ever need. He talked about this thing with Floyd Maynever and he is 100% right. Floyd buys friends. Here in Las Vegas, he FINANCES 200k cars at 29% interest and makes late payments or his handlers make late payments at least 10 times a year with very high penalty fees and credit hits. He buys them from an ****** here named Chopper, who in turn tells everyone how he doesnt pay his bills. Any idiot who FINANCES 200k for car #15 @29%, then goes and gambles 200k on College basketball like its nothing....there is NO WAY IN HELL he will hold on to his money. Not even to mention how many hundreds of thousands he spends on RIDICULOUS crap like his God-Awful "record label" which is really just a front to get chicks in to "audition" at his house in Spanish Trails...or wrapping a whole fleet of vehicles in "Philthy Rich Records" graphics that his cronies can be seen driving around town all day hitting on girls at bus stops.....Floyd is a class a cheese-ball and by 2018 he will be driving a cadillac around town with $6 in his pocket, child support warrants and fans who mock him at every street light for ducking Manny Pacquiao.
