very interesting set of stats, popdawg.
it would have been much more interesting if bute would at least throw the left uppercut as a counter more frequently, nevermind throw combinations the way he did in 11 and 12. that counter left uppercut wasn't missing or getting him into trouble, and we all know how hard it is. his confidence last night was just not there. you don't often see a world class fighter have his confidence so obviously shaken .Comment

pascal did not let one of the best punchers in the division tee off on him like that on purpose. he may have started off in teh corner playing possum, but by the end of the round he was definitely weathered.Comment

Remember the Euro-tards on this site who actually rated Bute higher than Ward, right up until the Froch-Bute fight?Comment

Not really, nothing more to it than that. Bute used his amateur pitty pat jab all night while twitching Mosley style, never following up on his punches until the 12th when Pascal willingly backed up into a corner, while Jean stood on the outside and leaped at Bute once or twice a round, just enough to tag him and win comfortably.Comment

It was pretty pathetic honestly. Pascal was literally begging him for shots and there were times when he could have hit Pascal with 2 or 3 punches as Pascal just stood there with his hands down yet, Bute just moved his shoulders and head in a effort to feint. The few times he did punch though, he landed almost every time....in the twelfth round, he finally let his hands go and he almost dropped Pascal but that was the only round he even attempted to be offensive-minded.Comment

... Bute was likely cashing out -- $2 mln for 150 punches landed (out of which 44 in the 12th round)... Sad...Comment
