Out of the top 10 p4p fighters...who is fighting top champions?

All i see if Floyd bashing on here..sure Khan fight is a **** fight, but he just fought a unification bout with the Ring champ at 154 lets look at who the others are fighting

Ward-some Rodriguez dude not p4p material

Martinez-might be fighting Cotto next who is 1-2 in his last 3 fights and never fought at middleweight

Juan-not fighting Bradley nor Manny so most likely some random nobody

Manny-just fought Rios who was unranked at 147 and coming off of a loss

Bradley-just fought Juan good fight since he just decapitated Manny

Wlad-fighting some dude i never heard of

    Rigo-just beat an unranked dude

    Garcia-damn good win over Mattysee

so why all the negativity about Floyd?? all he has been fighting is champions

    Canelo-ring champ at 154
    Cotto-#1 at 154 WBA champ
    Guerrero-#2 at ww interim champ
    Ortiz-wbc champ
    shane-#1 ww wba champ

who else has fought champions back to back to back???

sure the Khan fight sucks but the rest of them are fighting **** fights as well yet ya'll only cry when it involves Floyd??? pretty damn biased

Floyd is the one that says belts don't mean anything but he uses them to make him look like he is facing top comp. Ortiz is and was overrated imo, he quit against Maidana and thought he was a tree against Floyd, now he is no longer considered even a contender at this point.

The point is Floyd picks guys that have either a belt or momentum going for them but they have to be either mentally weak (Ortiz, Mosley) or too slow to do damage to him (Guerrero).

He almost messed up fighting Cotto but he only chose him because he thought Cotto was to far passed it to be a threat. There are subtle characteristics that Floyd looks for in his opposition for them to be "worthy" of the fight. They have to have momentum, and/or a belt and they have to have weaknesses that he can exploit.

With Canelo, he wanted to get him in his first PPV and used the weight against him....he tried to get him two years ago but GB wouldn't let that happen. I bet if Canelo had been in the game a few years longer and was still undefeated, Floyd would not have entertained a match with him.

Hence why he doesn't want to fight Pac, he knows there isn't much there to exploit, Pac has speed and power and seems to have recovered from his KO loss pretty decently meaning he is very mentally strong......which means Floyd wants nothing to do with him.

Mayweather fought a few titleholders, not champions

Canelo had a gifted WBC belt, coming off a win against Trout which was pretty much split, not to mention the catchweight for Floyd (as bad as Pacquiao-Cotto)

Guerrero wasn't a champion, or a titleholder. This win showed at the time, Mayweather was interested in mandatories.

Cotto, a solid win, but again just a titleholder.

Ortiz, I guess he wanted his belt, still not a champion. The fight had the most pathetic conclusion I have seen for a while

        Mosley, solid win.

There's only Mosley and Cotto to really give Floyd there.

Bradley's run of opponents recently is better than that

Because he's being held to a totally ridiculous standard which is very unfair.

Have to say that Guerrero was never #2 ranked at WW.

Canelo was NOT the Ring champ. I just want to point that out since I've seen people say that a few times now.

The Ring title was vacant and Floyd and Canelo fought for the vacant title.

            Carry on.

You're wrong. Canelo was the ring champion.

i agree completely, big difference between titleholder and champion. rankings and paper belts don't tell the true story. you don't need to name off paper belts and bs rankings to justify floyd. he's done enough in the sport. i don't get larry sometimes

You're confusing the RING title with a lineal title, easy mistake to make though

The GBP belt, also known as the RING belt, was happily handed over to Canelo after the Trout fiasco
