  • Comments Thread For: Schaefer: Khan Can Shock Mayweather and The World

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer is trying to finalize a fight between WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and British superstar Amir Khan. Mayweather is scheduled to return on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

While Khan is viewed by many a huge undercard in the fight, Schaefer believes Khan has the skills, and the speed, to give Mayweather a lot of trouble and potentially pull off one of the biggest upsets in the last few years.

Khan ain't shocking a damn thing. It's unbelievable how these promoters try and sell this bull****. Khan has about the same chance of beating Floyd that Rios had of beating Pac. Zero.

This is just pathetic. Nobody wants to see this fight. How will Mayweather sell this fight? "Amir Khan is a young hungry lion." "Amir Khan got heart. He always gets back up." "I think of Amir Khan as an undefeated fighter. He lost to a cheater, when he was drained, and from low blows." This should be amusing.
