No, he can't. He could barely beat a faded Julio Diaz in his last fight, and got starched by Danny Garcia in his last meaningful bout. Before that, he got outhustled by Peterson. What am I missing here? This fight is laughable.

Julio Diaz took Porter to a draw right before the Khan fight the same guy that is IBF 147lbs champ right now so he wasnt all so bad as ppl make him out to be as he can be a pain. You ppl wanna hang on to that knockdown so bad yet forget the rest of the fight.

p.s agreed on Khan not getting it as i too want him to get a big win first at 147 lbs.

But if they Don't buy it the PPV numbers will be poor, and Floyd fans care a lot about PPV Numbers.

I think they tell themselves that it means Floyd's really popular and loved if he does high PPV Numbers and that only a handful of "Jelus hatarz" on the Internet dislike him.

That, and Floyd can always hide behind meaningless stats to avoid fights.

It seems like Mayweather doesn't want the fight either. Golden Boy seems to be pushing the fight on Mayweather which is why Amir Khan has already signed and Mayweather still hasn't. with the exception of the whole Pac negotiations, I dont recall any of Mayweathers negotiations taking this long to hash out; especially as it would seem the details are already lined out in the contract. as you can see their not negotiating, GBP is waiting for Mayweather to sign. in my opinion I don't think he wants the fight. GBP pretty much running boxing for showtime, I think this is the fight we get. Although I wouldn't be surprised if at the last minute Mayweather announces a fight against Lara, similar to the way they announced the Canelo fight.
