At MW he'd probably outbox him for a while until Golovkin's power catches up. Only so many times you can shoulder roll a solid MW's shots who's probably the hardest punching MW on the planet and he'd likely take him out late.

    They would be my predictions.
Agreed. Golovkin doesn't care about settling for body shots and at some point getting touched by that power would catch up to Mayweather. Doesn't help his cause that Golovkin has a pretty good and very hard jab, either.

Floyd's not great at Jr MW let alone higher.

Would he try and bulk up abit for a MW fight? That won't be a good idea.

He'd probably weigh in like 151 152 for a MW fight and be the same on fight night against a guy who's 165+ lbs and a legitimate, solid, strong, middleweight.

Floyd at 37 years of age?

      Unrealistic fight really.

When you say unrealistic fight you making out as if Floyd hasn't got a chance but in UK boxing monthly they favour Floyd to beat GGG at middleweight believe it or not. Many people before Floyd have taken a challenge seemingly impossible. GGG is similar to Canelo, but has an outstandingly powerful punch, and we know that isn't always enough.

If Floyd wants to challenge himself and fulfil his latent potential he should seriously consider GGG. GGG isn't the fastest and that will be a big help to Floyd

Why would Floyd have to deal with a Middleweight?

He don't have to, but if he wants to be the GOAT he should consider doing things some people don't think he can do.

If Floyd has the potential to beat GGG, why not fulfil his full potential?

Golovkin is unproven though, and no that would never put him in talks for the bold.

Why would beating GGG make him the Goat??? GGG best win is what???Macklin? And Macklin's claim to fame is getting ko'd by Martinez? Ya'll praise fighters on here for doing nothing and slam fighters who achieve greatness. Yet claim the fighters who achieved greatness need fighters who have done absolutely nothing to be even greater.

But a GGG win would be better than Canelo that's for sure. He does have power, whilst Canelo didn't really have anything, didn't hit harder than Floyd even, didn't have fast feet or anything spectacular or standout.

GGG would be another string to Floyds bow when honours are handied out, and Floyd boasting a win over a middleweight, people could ask much more from Floyd especially for a retirement fight.
