    A good boxer doesn't get outboxed by Maidana. And you had the nerves to call him SURPRISINGLY good. Lol

    Lol I was about to say the exact same thing. Broner has no real technical boxing skills. All he does is walk you down. That is all he knows how to do. He is good inside fighter but that is it. The best thing about Broner is his hand speed and accuracy. He is flatfooted, he doesn't know what to do with a jab and he has no clue how to adjust. Hes a very straight forward fighter.

      You guys must really think lowly of Malignaggi. I thought that Malignaggi would win by decision before the fight, I got surprisd. Broner did well there. That's the reason I said "surprisingly good", even though I'm not a fan of his and I see that some welterweights are better.

          This is pro boxing with rules designed to favor hard effective punchers while Paulie has no power just an annoying jab and Broner couldn't impressively beat him.

                I dont understand how people can use the "he was too young" excuse for AB, but the same people bash Canelo for losing a decision to Floyd..

                  Broner didn't get outboxed my Maidana, he got outhustled. Maidana is just too strong for Broner who went up 2 weight divisions way too fast.

                    [QUOTE=Cuauhtémoc1520;14143437]

                    Why would that be a surprise, he's a 3 time world champ. The mistake people made was think he was the next Floyd Mayweather.

                    Ponce De Leon is a good fighter, nothing wrong in losing to him. I thought Broner edged him out in a very close fight.

                    He didn't move up 2 weight classes, that's a myth. He was never a super feather or light weight. He was at least a super lightweight fighter who was barely making weight, and picking on much smaller guys.

                    He hand picked Paulie because he can't punch and got a razor close decision a lot thought he lost.

                    He lost to Maidana because he is a lagit hard punching welter, and because Broner can't move. He stands there, trades with guys and expects to win because he's been fighting much smaller guys who can't hurt him.

                    At 147 and even some guys at 140, he cannot do that. So Broner is going to have to do one of two things, he needs to go back down in weight if he can do it.

                    Or he needs to get on his bicycle and move. Standing in front of any of the top 147 lbers will get him knocked the *** out. He isn't as skilled as you think, he's a much better offensive fighter than defensive fighter. Demarco, Reese and Paulie hit him a lot.

                    In the rematch, he should just keep punching. He clearly has better hand speed but literally gave Maidana nothing to think about when Maidana came in.

                    I am not saying stand there and trade all not, just keep throwing.
                    I think what kills Broner isn't his defense, it's his utter lack of offense.

                    When he threw against Maidana he had him thinking, he just didn;'t do it enough.

                    It might be a stamina issue with Broner, but the whole fight I thought if Broner just threw more, he would have been in that fight.

                      During the Maidana fight, Broner did shift the momentum of the fight for a while, at least to me. He got Maidana fighting his fight and he was doing well. Made me think he was gonna win it and then BAM, second knockdown. Up until that knockdown and towards the end, I like what I saw. He did get hit a few times but it was an urgent situation and he had to take risks. I think he wins the rematch.
