Not because Bute's good but because Pascal is just not that good either and limited. He's probably more limited than Bute.

If he lands though he'll likely hurt him because he can crack and he's explosive and fast.

If it goes into the second half of the fight that's Bute's territory though.

    Should be interesting and good.
Librado Andrade and Denis Grachev beg to differ with you on that sir.

[QUOTE=SnakeVen0m;14143399]Anyone know why Pascal was wearing tape over his mouth in the stare down? I missed the live weigh-in so I don't know. I'm sure it's cause of psychological warfare but what's the reason behind it?

Earlier in one interview bute said that he was going to shut pascal mouth because he was talking to much isshh, but in french there is an expression that goes like that: Fermer la geule! Geule means mouth but it is the term for an animal mouth. At the final presser Pascal told bute that was dissrespect and invited him: If you have enough balls come shut me up bit ch ! Bute stayed on his chair and looked shocked. I think he just wanted to refresh the final presser in bute`s mind. Also, it was a diss to the media that are always on pascal's back because they say he is arrogant. Pascal KO round 8 !!!

Ok day b4 fight, no more riding the fence on this one....

going with what I know and that is Pascal is just more durable. He isn't the greatest, or the smartest or anything like that, but I trust him more than I do Bute.

Grachev? Bute's best rounds were late in that fight.

Pascal starts fast and explosive and fades, he's one dimensional and not difficult to figure out.

The longer the fight goes the more likely it is Bute can win.

I don't lean on Bute I think it's 50-50 but like I said the longer it goes the more of a chance Bute has.

I haven't watched Bute-Grachev since it first aired, I'm probably remembering it wrong.

I agree Pascal isn't all that, but I think Bute will fade mentally as well, especially if Pascal hits him with something that hurts him.

Possibly especially early were Pascal's effective.

But Bute's a good boxer and Pascal fights at a slow pace, he's not very active he averages like 40 punches a round or something.

Pascal's a boxer/counterpuncher but not really a very good one.

He has the power to hurt Bute but like I said he fades and the longer the fight goes the more one dimensional he gets.

Both of them have pretty bad stamina.

Unless Pascal blasts him out early which I don't think he will then I think it'll be competitive.

Pascal isn't going to maul him and throw hundreds of punches at Bute and have him completely mentally fold like Froch . Pascal's a slow pace fighter, that will suit Bute.

That's true, Froch came right at Bute and threw the kitchen sink at him. That's something Pascal won't do, but his awkward athleticism has befuddled a better boxer than Bute in Chad Dawson. He has weird timing and angles to his shots.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, BUT this is Pascal's first fight with Memo in his camp. Maybe his stamina will be improved for this fight.

With that taken into account though, I just think Pascal land enough early to make Bute realize what he's in with and make him hesitant to punch. In the middle rounds, they box more and Bute might take a couple of them because he's more skilled than Pascal who can look great one round and awful the next. But later in the fight, I think Bute's mental state will fail him when he sees his shots don't affect Pascal the way Jean's affect him and that will spell the end. TKO 9 for Pascal, with Bute being a very live dog.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Bute will win but I don't think Pascals going to destroy him. Other than catching him early and badly hurting him.

Pascals probably the hardest one punch power guy he's fought so it's possible.

I think Butes going to land some good solid punches. He can crack and Pascal can be hurt too. He's not that good mentally either he crumbled in both Hopkins fights.

                    Should be interesting either way.

This fight has a lot of variables and for two guys where they are in their career, it's very intriguing. A former SMW coming off his two worst pro showings, including his 1st loss, and the former LHW champ coming off extended layoffs and going 2-1-1 against 2 scrubs and B-Hop.

My interest in this fight has steadily grown since last year when I wasn't all that excited. It being our first big fight of 2014 probably has something to do with it.
