If Floyd was so good defensively against a veteran boxer, why did he get beat up?
I'm not saying Cotto won. At all. But Floyd looked far from great in that fight. I was watching with my brother (who is a Floydiot) and he was like oh ****!
lol he didn't get beat up, he chose to fight on the inside in that fight so naturally got hit with more shots than usual.
Floyd is very much beatable, but he's an excellent defensive fighter, there's no doubt about that.
Lara is the only threat to him, Maidana and Garcia are credible but not threatening
Not to poke at you, but what is so weird to me about the Garcia part is, when he was about to fight Matthyse and everyone was saying how much a threat Matthyse would be to Floyd and how Matthyse would smash Garcia, no one has any faith in Garcia, even though he beat the new "flavor of the month/boogeyman" to Floyd.
Now Lara is the closest thing to the boogeyman, but pwople dont recall how he is two fights removed from the ugliest fight I have seen in ages against Vanes (I was so happy Mares/Moreno was that night).
Errrrrr you act like Floyd has an incredible workrate
Not saying he does, but how many times have we seen Lara lose a contest or come close because of his low work rate? The Williams fight should have gone his way, but he was not active enough which cost him. The Trout fight, while he won basically every round, he hardly threw anything most of the time. I don't know I don't give him as good of a shot as everyone else does. I'm not even convinced Lara beats Canelo tbh. I THINK he does, but Canelo beating him would not surprise me
