Szpilka looked good in his fight against Brian Minto earlier this year.

He did seem a bit vulnerable in his two fights with Mike Mollo, but Jennings has a very different, more cautious style than the brawler Mollo.

It won't be easy, but if Artur's fully focused, I think he can knock Jennings out.

I love szpilka's aggression, southpaw stance & his style of fighting. he's never going to be in bad fights. even if he loses & doesn't quite make in to the top i'd love to see him fight guys like minto, Cameron, maddalone, neven pajkic, travis walker & leapai. all those would be good brawls...
I agree, those would all be very fun fights and Szpilkas style is very exciting and refreshing for the division. Due to that, I'm not completely counting him tonight, though. The pressure could cause some fits for Jennings like Fedosov did, but Jennings showed a fantastic chin against Fedosov so it will be a tough egg to crack for Szpilka. But maybe Szpilka hits harder then Fedosov? So we'll see

i'm not counting out artur at all because bowie tupou hurt jennings a few times & artur being an aggresive southpaw could bring an extra element of adjustment for Jennings. I still see Jennings pulling it out but i'm not sure how it will finish. I've seen artur get up from get floored hard & I've seen Jennings get up too so both look to have spirit...I only seen fedosov 3 times. he lost to lance whitaker (questionable)& Jennings. I also saw him beat old lionel butler...

Who dropped Jennings? I didn't know he's ever been floored. Interesting. And I myself have never even saw Fedosov fight until the Jennings fight and I thought he did very well (believe I had him winning on the cards until he got it) he ate some bombs from Jennings as well.

Once again... Fantastic fight! The division needs more and more matchups like this.

Thanks guys. Cheers. I completely forgot Perez was on this card

Edit: wait... Jennings-Szpilka is NEXT week?! I thought it was on the pascal-bute undercard for some reason

If Spzilka can apply pressure the way Fedosov did and avoid Jennings big shots (I don't think Szpilka chin would hold up like the granite that was in Fedosovs) I can definitely see him getting the W or making it very close til the end, at the least.

But I don't see him avoiding Jennings power shots and I can't see his chin holding up... So I think Jennings wins via stoppage

Fantastic fight, two undefeated HWs so you better believe they will both leave it all in the ring... A lot to gain here from both Men!
I don't really know why you keep comparing Szpilka to Fedosov they fight nothing alike and Szpilka is not a pressure fighter. He can be aggressive but he's a natural counter puncher who generally fights off the back foot or circles and is at his best when doing so. The McCline fight is a perfect example and the most disciplined fight hes had sticking to a gameplan and not getting wreckless.

If he sticks to that i think it would give Jennings problems since BJ doesn't naturally lead and is used to being the boxer and mover. Taking that role away from him especially against a hard punching southpaw with good counter punching skills should present real difficulties.
