Gavin Rees showed the world how easy it was to hit Broner. He was never the future of boxing and never will be. He doesn't know when to stop the antics and I doubt if he'll ever be embraced by the die-hard fans of the sport. I re-watched the Maidana fight last night and Broner was getting hit with the same shots over and over again and never put his hands up.

He simply needs more fights with various styles to come to a level where he becomes elite. His lack of experience showed in the Maidana fight. Paulie Malignaggi was right, and you can listen to his comments at the very beginning of the entire event. He described how low level Broner's opposition were and that the Maidana fight will be a test, etc.

I came in here honestly expecting the thread to be about Broner.

And FYI xylocaine (or lidocaine) is not a PED. It's a banned substance in some states, but "banned substance" and "PED" are two different things.
