It would be a silver lining if this news portended the death of the WBC as well as the rest of the sanctioning bodies polluting the boxing environment. But that would be wishful thinking.

On a personal level, RIP to the man, and condolences to his family.

He always seemed shady and like a crook but in death, every man, regardless of his deeds, must be given proper respect and honor. RIP Don Jose

I was shocked when I read it and even when some people criticizes him for showing certain favoritism to some boxers especially in recent years, it would be impossible to deny all the many good things that he contributed to the world of boxing. RIP and condolences to his family.

Sulaiman contributed to boxing more than all of the members of this site. I didnt like how he gave away belts to his kids, but he work hard for the sport.
And he got paid for the contribution you idiot. I would kill to be in his position so can make everyone in my family a champ also.

I know a lot of us, a LOT of us, think this way, but to actually express this opinion is disgusting. Think it in your head, and keep that opinion to yourself.

You're likely not the first idiot who will say something like this on this forum of JS death, but I hope all of you that do, get banned one by one. Never liked Sulaiman's ways of giving away titles like candy, don't like Arum either, but come on, keep that opinion to yourself and show some respect.

RIP Jose Sulaiman the family man.

I don't celebrate his death but I do celebrate his removal of power.

Show respect because he died? He wouldn’t show me respect if I died. Like I said, next up is Arum, then Haymon and boxing will be back!

My happiness for permanent retirement outweighs my sadness for his passing.

                      Mauricio Sulaiman says hi.

Even if it's not him who will take over, it'll most likely be a Mexican.
