    The case for Khan....

Has been stated by the Brits, but I think the influence of the UK on the market is being overestimated.

Case in point: Ricky Hatton. A more popular figure at the time in the UK than Khan ever will be I think most would agree... However the Mayweather-Hatton fight didn't break 1 million ppv buys. The Ghost fight, which was rumored to be 870k by fat dan, even if thats true, was comparable with the hatton fight. Yet, Maidana has far more fans and people that respect him than Ghost did.

Point blank.. the sleeping giant of the boxing industry remains the USA. Khan will not move alot of ppv's in the US.. the casuals have a short memory and the hardcores hate the fight. Pair that with the Brit influence being overblown, and you have yourself a comprehensive formula of underperformance overall.

if I know this, then Floyd's people HAVE to know this. As they crunch the numbers they will find Maidana captures the imagination of the American audience better... he can be sold as a sheer killer to the casuals and their short memory wont be a problem because he is coming off of a win over a high profile guy in Broner. Hardcores generally favor the Maidana fight over the Khan fight as well. Maidana fight will get more casuals and Americans to buy so it IS the more lucrative fight. Its a slam dunk unless Floyd just doesnt want the fight.

Khan being the more lucrative option= Myth

Floyd Hatton did a bit under a million just in the UK PPV market.
              Dont know about Americas.

I dont think he was the b side.. he was dlh's biggest payday by far. Look at all of DLH's ppv numbers and there is a dramatic difference.

Floyd-Hatton did 1million ppvs in the UK and 900k in the US.

Comparing it to Floyd-Guerrero is dumb because it was 5 or 6 years prior. Mayweather was not the PPV star he is now.

That doesn't mean he wasn't the B side. You sound like you don't know much of what you're talking about.
