Bute has looked vulnerable before. He was KO'ed by Golovkin in the amateurs. He was almost KO'ed in the 12th round against Andrade, he got destoyed by Froch, he had some trouble against B level fighter Grachev. The two lastly mentioned cases were recent.

Jean Pascal can punch, so there's a chance that he may KO the weakened Bute, but... Jean Pascal can punch. Just that. In his 27 victories, only 16 have been by knockout and the knockouts all were against unknown fighters, Pascal couldn't even stop Chad Dawson like Ward could, even though Pascal hit him cleanly a lot of times. In fact, most of his KOs came in the first 12 fights of his career, they are ancient history against forgotten fighters.

We can see that Pascal troubles his opponents with his power, but he is not a knockout fighter. He may KO Bute, who looks very vulnerable right now, but then again, he has never KO'ed anyone on Bute's level before. Don't count Bute out. This is going to be a very exciting fight. 50-50. If Bute can survive the early storm, he may win by a united decision, being the technically better and taller boxer of them with more stamina. But then again, Pascal can bring a lot of pressure early on... Which Bute hates.

I give Bute a good chance to win. Pascal is a good puncher and fast but he is very short winded for a world class fighter. He averages only about 30 punches thrown per round while Bute averages over twice that many punches thrown a round. Pascal's best bet is an early round KO because Bute has just an average chin for a world class fighter. The longer the fight goes the better I like Bute's chances. Bute is a wicked body puncher and he could KO Pascal in the late rounds or win on points. Pascal is a loud mouth bragger and I hope Bute wins.

well pascal has been with heredia for almost over a year now i think..so he'll be punching MUCH harder than he has ever before......

I doubt he will win it easily after how he struggled against Grachev. But I do think that he got a pretty big chance. There is a big difference between the quality of Grachev and Pascal, even if Pascal is past it.

I actually think Bute will win as well. I'm definitely not counting him out. The man can box.
