Both have beaten better fighters. Hopkins longevity is a major plus, but the names aren't there compared to Pacquiao or Mayweather. More comparable with Mayweather, but Floyd's been so much more dominant.

While I do give him props for his age, most of the major fights against good/great dudes his size, he's come up short. A lot of his major wins have been against guys that shouldn't even be at the weight. He's a great boxer but not what people make him out to be.

Pretty funny, I read this all the time. He gets discredited his whole career after beating "smaller" fighters who only about 6-7 people believed he could beat. It's not about him not being what people make him out to be, it's more like people never thought much of Hopkins, he isn't supposed to beat anyone, but when he does overcome the odds, which is often, some thing is wrong with the opponent then and the win is not that good.
