Comments Thread For: Ricardo Mayorga: I Will Slap Chavez Jr. Like a Woman!

Three time world champion Ricardo Mayorga is in Las Vegas to start training for a final run in boxing that he hopes will lead to a middleweight title. He experimented with MMA in his native Nicaragua but said that he is happy to be back in the sport that he loves.

"It was a great experience. It was something that I always wanted to do. I am glad that I am back in boxing now. I didn't want to lose my last shot at boxing," said Mayorga.

    El! Oh! El!

The funny thing is that Mayorga is right with the father-son comparison...

This is everything wrong with boxing. Watching fat, old, washed up boxers like Mayorga is why the sport gets a bad name.

I was watching Antonio Tarver fight there other day on tv and it was sad man. These guys need to retire, and we need to give this press and tv time to young, up coming boxers that the world needs to learn about.

          Mayorga, go away.

Say what you want about Mayorga....but his pre-fight antics are 10 times more entertaining than Mayweathers actual fights. Mayorga entertains, and that can never be underestimated. He also fights with all his heart. Retirement? Save that for the boring worms like Calzaghe and Vitali.

What Middleweights are lining up to fight him??? Sergio isn't it. Quillin is hiding behind GB and Showtime. Murray don't want it with Golovkin.

Mayorga one of favorite fighters but he has been all over the map back and forth to MMA he is not the same fighter. This is just a fight to make Chavez look good. Chavez Jr. has terrible stamina and isnt a hard worker but this will be an easy fight for him. He is also way bigger than Mayorga. I have zero interest in seeing this fight.
