actually thought floyds jail stint and time off was gonna mess him up vs ghost, not saying i thought he would lose but i wasnt 100% confident like the canelo fight

i thought mosley had a good chance but in hindsight i shouldn't have. he looked like crap vs. mayorga. he did look great vs. margarito though. but mayorga and margarito are probably the 2 worst guys to fight before fighting mayweather lol. age and the year off were big factors in that fight.
i still think prime mosley vs. mayweather is 50/50.Comment

Now that would've been a great fight. As it was, Shane was too faded to seriously challenge a fighter of Mayweather's caliber. And, not to knock Manny, but he spanked an even more faded Mosley.i thought mosley had a good chance but in hindsight i shouldn't have. he looked like crap vs. mayorga. he did look great vs. margarito though. but mayorga and margarito are probably the 2 worst guys to fight before fighting mayweather lol. age and the year off were big factors in that fight.

I don't think I would ever bet real money against Mayweather. The last fight I thought would be close was the Hatton fight. I thought he would just try to walk forward and bully Floyd like he did to Tszyu. Turns out he did try that and it failed.Comment

[QUOTE=jwheels9876;14133725]well said my man. mosley would have never stopped the margarito that fought cotto or any version of margarito before the mosley fight.Mosley. No joke that Margo ass whippin had me high. I routed and bet on money himOTE]
Mosley was a shell of himself..it's fairly obvious that when Margarito got caught pre fight with wraps he was mentally done. Margarito has one of the best chins ever but he crumbled like a Potatoe chip in that fight. If your mind is not there your body is not far behind.Comment

I had that same feeling also; I thought Floyd had genuiely loss his legs and that would be trouble for how Guerrero like to fight.Comment

you beat me on ortiz.....Call me crazy but I thought Ortiz would beat him. He had the power, speed (decent) and size.
I thought Ortiz was doing a good job early on by swarming Floyd even tho a lot of it wasn't landing clean. But like they say, to beat Floyd, tire him out by hitting arms, shoulders, etc.
I think Floyd felt threatened thus found the easy way out with the cheapshot. And no I'm not trolling.

yes, the 4th was not an easy round for floyd.....
i thought it would be the beginning of a long night for floyd...and likely lose his 0....
but the hugging drama did happen and poof poff....end of storyComment

I went to boxingrec and fightfax....they are stating that Money won the original and the rematch.
You may need to contact them in regards to this error, because if you don't....the HISTORY BOOKS will show Money as the winner of both encounters.Comment

great thread. I had to think abut this one
honestly, it's quite a bit. I'll say I've never felt that strongly about any of these recent ones...but I give them the respect as pros....so, of late... Oscar, Shane for sure...questions for Guerrero...was always confused about predicting Canelo (-2pds)
it's not that I'm rooting against him or anything, I just feel like it's so difficult to stay on top that I give a serious look to all opponents, I try not to treat floyd like a superhuman. The right punch, an off night, or anything and it would be over for anyone, not just himComment
