Don't you know Ward? He's so big that he doesn't even accept "mandos"...
Ward fights who he wants, when he wants, wherever he wants -- namely in Oakland.
Ward may accept to be stripped -- he also holds the Ring belt...

If Ward wants to fight on HBO, and we know he does, then they have to approve his opponents. They've already turned down Kashtanov.

HBO has no interest in former WBA super middleweight champion Dimitri Sartison, Caleb Truax or interim WBA World super middleweight champion Stanyslav Kashtanov to face WBA 168 lb. champion Andre Ward (26-0, 14 KO’s) for his next fight on September 28th, according to Dan Rafael.

Personally, I'd like to see Ward v Dirrell.

Then Ward might be stripped. He wouldn't want that.

And Dirrell. I mean why? What has Dirrell done to qualify for anything?

Andre Dirrell? He's still floating somewhere in the limbo...
"Andre (Dirrell) was set to headline Friday Night Fights on April 12th, but withdrew for undisclosed reasons."

Andre Dirrell fought twice in four years... Lately he was calling Golovkin and Froch ("for undisclosed reasons")...

Can WBA "Super" champs be stripped? I don't really understand their situation.

And Dirrell. I mean why? What has Dirrell done to qualify for anything?
It's an interesting style match-up, and with Ward unwilling to travel I don't really see anyone else that HBO would sign off on.

I doubt that they are able to fight each other -- they're buddies since long ago... I suspect that the actual reason for Dirrell's depressive mood emerged when Ward took control over the super middleweight division...

As I understand the 'super' tag, there's 12 months to defend against a mando. Ward is waaaaaayyyyyy overdue. An exception doesn't seem likely in that light.

Think about Kashtonov for while. Poor guy has been mando for God knows how long.

It will be interesting to see what happens. We may well see Ward vacate. I don't see HBO airing Ward v Kashtanov.

Ward recently said of a potential bout with Chavez Jr:

"I just think if you talk about a 'now' pay-per-view, I think that's a 'now' pay-per-view," Ward said. "I think the only two 'now' pay-per-views that I have right now -- maybe I'm wrong, and I gotta see who's out there -- is probably Bernard Hopkins and Chavez Jr."
