Maybe the Hopkins that beat tarver n pavlik... But not the one that was getting hit by Murat. Hopkins would go 12 but his only chance would be if kovolev gasses badly after 6 which may happen since he throws so hard early and has never been in deep waters before

Comparing Hopkins career to Kovalev I can see why he would feel that way.

It would be nothing like the Pavlik fight, Kovalev is waaay more athletic and dynamic than Kelly. He hasn't exactly proven that sufficiently for all fans yet, but I've felt for a while that his athleticism is his best attribute. To me it's not his power, but how quickly his feet move, which allows him to throw extremely short punches, always in position. Natural ability stuff

I appreciate that Adonis has improved and is coming from a school that would traditionally matchup well with a fighter like Bhop, but Kovalev has a damn good trainer himself and doesn't necessarily fit into these rigid style paradigms that Bhops is alluding to.
