    According to Rouss Laguna, wife and spokesperson of Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (34-2-1-12 KOs), her husband will defend his "super" title against Javier "Sparky" Chacon of Argentina on March 15th at the Arena Robert Duran. Moreno will be making the eleventh defense of his (118 pounds) World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight championship. Chacon, 32 and from Mendoza, has a record of 19 wins (4 KO) and 1 loss.

          Can't imagine this is a "title defense." I dig Moreno, but if it is, this is sham. Chacon is ranked 66th by boxrec at super flyweight. He doesn't appear to have beaten a top 200 bantamweight.

              Man he is not being promoted well at all since the Mares loss (he didn't even look all that bad in that fight). Pretty big shame.

                  a BS defense a no punch guy..he needs 2 step up & fight the elite, but if he stays in Panama the $$ isn't there 2 bring in the elite...
