Big money fight, action packed and will be fan friendly....
Why not Gamboa- Broner at 140?

Gamboa hasn't looked to good at 135. I'd like him to at least starting fight more and look good against a top lightweight first.
And Broner would probably decide to have some weird aversion to fighting a 50 Cent fighter because of his Mayweather worship.Comment

This is actually a great fight but I'd rather Gamboa did something at 130 or 135, the guy barely fights these days. There was a time when he was a top, top level fighter but he buried himself by joining 50Comment

Gamboa is not a huge small guy. He is bloated, but when we are talking about size, it always boils down to reach. Lets have a look at the reach of competitive fighters at 140lb.
Gamboa... 65"
Broner... 70"
Marquez... 69"
Bradley... 69"
Maidana... 69"
Garcia 68.5"
Mattyse 69"
Morales 72"
Now lets compare Gamboa with fighters of a size similar to him.
Darchinyan... 64 1/2"
Mares... 66"
Salido... 67"
Arce... 66"
Vazquez Jr... 66"
Historically, the biggest factor in how far up in weight a fighter can successfully move has been his reach. Fighters start to look bad and falter when they start to face fighters who have a larger and larger reach advantage on them.
Gamboa is tiny. He shouldn't even be at 135, much less 140.Comment

This. Gamboa is just way too small to make a realistic appraisal of this matchup....As for a fantasy matchup Gamboa has forgotten more than Broner will ever learn in the sport. Couldn't see Gamboa losing to such a mental midget.Gamboa is not a huge small guy. He is bloated, but when we are talking about size, it always boils down to reach.
