Wow! this is crazy. Never would of thought this match up was possible. Top Rank would be wise to sign Gamboa to some fights before Pacquiao fight is considered...Gamboa can be a very lucrative product if given the right babysitter.

this isn't about size. i don't think it's really a factor. jmm made the same jump for the 3rd pac fight. i thought he was gonna get overwhelmed but the weight proved to be no issue. they'd probably enter the ring about the same size. but gamboa has just done NOTHING to get this fight. he used to be exciting. he's not even that anymore.

Everyone already knows his stable at 140-147 consists of only Manny/Bradley/Provo/Alvarado and Rios...
I don't see why he won't just take his payoff and let Manny fight Floyd at this point. Let's see if Floyd is serious about it.

In truth he has the momentum but we are talking about Manny Pacquaio on the other side of the negotiations and he'll always be the draw. If he doesn't take even $5 he may never see that kind of money again anyway unless he jumps ship and Mayweather gives him a chance and even then he'll probably get around 5-7 million based on past Mayweather opponents.

Which is why he is trying to use whatever leverage he has now to squeeze more money out of a Pacquiao fight. He might be saying 8 million, but would probably settle for 6.5

I still think he'll fight Manny in April. Tim doesn't seem to be a guy who ever passes on a challenge. He'll get paid handsomely, I just hope he doesn't overplay his hand and get shut out of the fight.

I'm a Manny Pacquiao fan and I would rather see him fight Martinez at 160 no catch weight.I would be proud of my favorite fighter if he did that win or lose.If he fight Gamboa it better be free tv in case they shake hands after each round.

Me too, not once did it dawn on me that it was an opponent list. Sad and pathetic if it happens.
