He wants $8 million reportedly. I don't think they're willing to guarantee that based off Mannys poor PPV sales against Rios. Where else would Timmy even make $5 million? If he wants to silence the critics about the first fight he should jump at the chance for a rematch.

I used to have an issue with these types of bouts but then two things dawned on me if the opponent is dumb enough to take the bout so be it and I have the option to buy the fight or not..so a fighter could choose to fight a brick wall if he wants...doesn't mean we have to buy it. Personally I think they are tossing names out there to get whoever they want to actually fight to lower their asking price. If Tim is asking for $8 million when he was willing and did fight Marquez for less money than Marquez made off that fight and now wants to quadruple his pay..well good luck I guess we'll be seeing Ruslan vs Bradley 2.

except they're probably trying to make him re-sign but might not want to.

          I like this fight.

Pacquiao is a small welterweight, I don't think he's going to have a size advantage on Gamboa. He is 1 inch taller, but that's about all he's going to have. Both come in at around the same weight.

I think it's a great fight, I hope it gets made. It's an important fight for Cuban boxing.

I hope it's either Gamboa or Bradley, not Provodnikov and bum Guerrero!

I think what's amazing is that Ronnie wrote this article without using his tag of 'Fighter of the Decade'.

I agree that Timmy would make his biggest paycheck with Pacquiao at 5 million, but there is also a thing called leverage. And if Bradley believes he has it, why not push for 8 million? He might never get a big fight monetary wise, ever again.

I thought that violated the Ali act? Maybe I misunderstand it but I thought you couldn't force someone to resign a contract just in order to get another fight? Isn't this what Guerrero is claiming in his lawsuit against GBP?

In truth he has the momentum but we are talking about Manny Pacquaio on the other side of the negotiations and he'll always be the draw. If he doesn't take even $5 he may never see that kind of money again anyway unless he jumps ship and Mayweather gives him a chance and even then he'll probably get around 5-7 million based on past Mayweather opponents.
