He doesn't give a **** now that he doesn't have much to lose.

oh so he is only doing it for money now is he? not interested at all in fighting for the middleweight title? could have fought canelo if its just about the money.
Money has always been a factor in his decisions. Didn't wanna fight Martinez when there wasn't a lot of money to be made : http://********/z4pkq6G3bhw?t=1m50s

The Canelo fight will always be there, but Martinez is old and on the verge of retirement or losing (officially this time) to any top 5 MW, so the window of opportunity is small.

As for Floyd not challenging himself, I guess fighting Hatton wasn't a challenge, so you're calling Hatton a chump.

Look, you know the true obstacles, if you wish to pretend tey don't exist in order to criticize, hey thats on you.

Funny, but thats the same silliness you abhor when done to wlad.
What do you think about the (likely) Khan fight Dunn?

I don't know the true obstacles, but maybe you can tell me. I reckon that a 10M payday for Sergio can overcome many an obstacle, but do enlighten me.

I think its absolutely ****ty and I hope it doesn't get made.

I wonder how floyd and sergio get out of their TV contracts to fight?

well in floyd's case he could opt ou of the showtime deal to fight sergio. I can't imagine anyone would do that though.

Of course Floyd wouldn't go away from his lucrative deal with Showtime, but what about Sergio? A fight with Floyd would secure him and his children for life.

LOL at Floyd having no balls because he doesn't/wont fight the MIDDLEWEIGHT champ.

you think sergio would try and get out of his HBO contract just to get a floyd fight? you think HBO would let him walk that easy? is there any penalty if he does?

When lewis and tyson fought-CBS president hadn't declared war on HBO and try to unseat HBO as the dominant boxing network. I think we can both agree the landscape is different now.

So it seems like the only way the fight hapens would be for floyd to opt out of the showtime deal and comeback to HBO to fight Sergio.

I guess floyd can prove he his balls by forgoing the chance to make $150 mil or more to fight sergio. isounds smart. 'm sure everyone here would do that.

I think that money talks and Sergio, who's near the end, would make a lot more cash even after leaving HBO, by taking a Floyd fight. I dont think you'd dispute that?

As said earlier, I think Sergio is there for the taking, and it would be one for the history books for Floyd.

                    You would be correct.

I am on record as wishing floyd would find a way to make this fight at 160 for the MW title and history. It appears floyd is waiting to see if cotto beats sergio and then he will probably offer Cotto a package totaling $15 mil.

If he wins it would still be "historical" in terms of being the 1st 5 division lineal title but it wouldn't be the same as beating Sergio and becoming lineal MW champ IMO.
