He didn't really move up, he made the other guy move down.

He offered Pac and Floyd I believe as low as 150 or was it 52? No takers.

Cotto vs Sergio is the best fight they could make that isnt canelo. If Canelo wins he likely fights the winner though not sure if Sergio would be stripped (if he wins) and would thus move down or what.

Cuz Floyd is not as good at 150lb or above and he knows that. So he don't bother with it.

Martinez is too big for Cotto too. The difference I would guess is that Cotto just doesn't give a ****.

People always make fun of Cotto for kneeling against Plasterito or running in the later rounds against Pacman. He took it till he couldn't any longer. That's still braver than not fighting them at all.

No one doubts his balls. The problem is his skills. He's not a great fighter and this has been beat to death on 100 threads. He's got all the makings of a great fighter except ability and it sucks because if he was a better he could be mentioned as one of the top 10 of this era which he's not, depending on what you call "This era".

Edit: For topics sake too...Cotto is quite a bit bigger than Floyd. Started higher, higher fight night, higher at weigh ins... really is this a serious question or is this just another throw away thread?

Cotto lost to 2 ATG's... One cheater and 1 guy when he was past his best.....
He fought everyone and continues to do so.. He's one of the best of this generation. That said, if Martinez is 80% of his old self, he crushes Cotto.

Trout and Margarito are far from ATGs not even close.

My biggest beef is he lost 2 of his last 3 and his only win was over a journeyman.... now he gets a shot at the undisputed title? That's why I don't give him too much credit for his balls, yah he takes the fights but he has nothing to lose he'll still make money and get title shots he doesn't deserve because of his fanbase.

U think Margarito only cheated against Mosely? Cotto was his biggest fight ever... Cotto is well past his prime years and frankly I don't think he belongs at 154 anyways so the Trout win is whatever it is.

Cotto deserves it because of his past and because of his huge fan base. It's a guaranteed big money fight especially in NY... Plus Martinez deserves to cash out as well. He won't make half the money to get smoked by GGG right now.
