I think the time is ripe for the fans to step up here & now ..

Start an online petition strongly in favor of Mayweather vs Maidana and vehemently against Mayweather vs Khan.

Maidana has EARNED the fight by facing FIVE consecutive WW's winning both the WBA intercontinental and world titles.

Khan hasn't done shit!!! Except run away from Devon Alexander ... and getting one beat-down after another. WTF!!!!!!

No disrespect but I think this would be pointless because Floyd's money is already guaranteed. If he had no contract with SHO/CBS, this would be a worthy effort and your mission might be accomplished. Since the contract is in place, he could fight Mickey Mouse and we'd have to accept it should we choose to watch. Boycotting his PPV is only effecting his backend money, not his purse. If there was no one in attendance, he's still getting paid once the bell rings.

I saw Broner's mindset being trouble for a guy with the intangibles of Maidana... Add to that the fact Broner is largely stationary and the obvious improvements Garcia is working on, and it was a slam dunk Maidana pick for me.

Devon and khan gave a blueprint to beat the Maidana from 3 to 4 years ago. The Maidana that threw a mere 36 pawing jabs and landed 8 on Devon and laid in over 100 clinches, or the Maidana that didn't straighten his shots and looked sluggish against Khan.

And I've seen you say that Hatton stuff a couple times, it's horribly inaccurate like a lot of what you say. First of all Hatton didn't have the same pop, second Hatton fights completely different from Maidana. Don't know why people even let you get away with saying this bs.

I had Broner pegged to win the Maidana fight on skill alone. And I was wrong. But lets not act like Maidana didn't just beat a guy who was no where near the WW limit and not even in his prime yet ( an excuse I hear a lot about Floyd's win over Canelo).

Honestly I'd rather see the Khan fight for the speed factor alone. Maidana throwing caution to the wind and just going at Floyd, means nothing, considering that's something most fighters learn to overcome in the amateurs.

Speed doesn't matter if it's kept at home. Skills don't matter the most against Mayweather either. Mayweather has crafted a style that outskills anyone, he can fight any style. He can fight ANY style. Style considerations when you talk about Mayweather are well meant but misguided. What matters most against Floyd is mindset. Intangibles. And power. Intangibles and mindset allow you to weather the mind games everyone likes to say Floyd plays. Power lets you make your shot count when you finally land. A Castillo with more power would have beat Floyd. A Jesus Chavez with more pop could have beaten Floyd too. They both had iron chins that enabled them to WALK THROUGH FLOYD. Take 10 shots to land one. Maidana can do this too. That's what he brings to the table that Khan does not. Khan's game plan will change as soon as he's hit flush.

MM is nuts if he thinks guys are just fighting Floyd for the payday. Floyd gets in these guys heads so deep that they come in the ring ready to kill him and get discouraged when they can't hit him. The one who beats Floyd will get the huge paydays and might get elected as an honorary President of their nation. I know most of the folks posting in boxing forums would regard this person as a God. People think Pac fans are over the top. Just wait and see the folks coming out of the wood works to praise the one who beats Floyd. I'm telling you, you'll think it was the 2nd coming of Jesus.

And I completely disagree - the vast majority of Mayweathers opponents in recent years are not known for their skill but known much more for being "tough" fighters - Hatton, Cotto, Guerrero and Alvarez have all ended up being completely outclassed - the power is irrelevant if can't hit your opponent. I'm not saying someone can out skill Mayweather but I do think a fighter with skill and speed will cause more issues than a flat footed brawler.
Amir Khan doesn't deserve the fight but that fight is a whole lot more interesting than the option to fight Maidana - ok there is the chance Khan could get caught early and the night will be over BUT if he doesn't the fight will be interesting, Khan is never in a dull fight and if goes to a decision it will be close! I'd rather the risk of a KO against Khan than a snoozefest against Maidana any day.

So much wrong with this... Many of you clearly have not watched all the Mayweather fights.
