Not to defend the probable Kirkland suggestion but he has fought in the JMW 3 times in 9 bouts in the last 5 years. He has also fought in the Middleweight and Super-Middleweight divisions during that run. So according to my statement and Kirkland's recent resume he is not a JMW period (felt obliged to add that idiom).

thats a cop out. and it it happens then golovkin should absolutely be blamed.
So now it's HBO's fault? But when it comes to Quillin who fights on Showtime, it's Quillin ducking.

It doesn't make sense to me that Geale was on HBO in a fight of the year candidate but yet somehow he gets turned down.

When Golovkin knocks out Kirkland in a few rounds, ill be waiting for the inevitable "Kirkland was a bum anyway" posts. I'd much rather him fight Geale though, whilst Kirkland would be a decent enough test.

Yeah I'd expect this to happen too. Kirkland is more of an opponent based on name recognition though in my opinion, still a half decent fight I guess. But you are right, a lot of people would be quick to say Kirkland sucks etc...

Kirkland sucks... You don't have to wait till GGG beats him to hear that.

GGG/Sturm is so overdue. I wish that fight would happen, but we know damn well that it won't.

They need to have GGG/Geale and Kirkland/Stevens on the same card. If Kirkland dominates Stevens, then that will naturally be GGG's next HBO bout.
