I never understood why people say Ishida was a JMW when he fought GGG. Ishida fought Pirog, Williams and Kirkland at 160 his past three fights before GGG. And he fought at MW like 9 times total and is 6'2.
Anyways, pretty crazy to see him at 201 and still look fitComment

Wait, when did he fight pirog and williams?

He's been called a 154 pounder because it was the only weight he has ever remotely been effective in. While his best win in Kirkland was technically at middleweight, it was at 155 against a jr middleweight, which is a ton closer to his natural 154 weight than 160. He was already feather fisted at 154. At 160 he had no hope.
EDIT: I got Williams confused with the Kirkland fight. Kirkland was a 158 catchweight. Still, Kirkland is normally a 154 pounders. Catchweights above a fighters weight in non-title fights is normal just to give them an easier to time to make weight. Peter Quillin has a ton of fights above 160. Doesn't make him a super middleweight.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 01-11-2014, 02:28 PM.Comment

Why don't I call Pac a true Super Bantam or Super feather?
I mean, those were the weights he was best in right?
He's just a Super Bantam/Super Feather fighting at WW?Comment
