Only guys with powerful influence get a chance at rematches. It's the shortest route for Broner to get his rep back. Losing for the second time will just mean styles make fights. He lost to one man only. Lettting him fight against the likes of Matthysse, Ortiz, Berto, even Peterson and Alexander will mean high risk. Once he loses, his career is over. This is the work of Haymon and company. Schaefer is just following orders. In fact, Schaefer was out right after the fight saying an immediate rematch won't necessarily happen any time soon. He changed his tune for some strange reason.

A rematch would not be a bold, but a totally imprudent move by Broner. He already took a serious beating and this has its effects. He needs a soft return before going again to a war. I hope this is just a "political" move by the Problem, trying to improve his reputation by simulating he wants a rematch. On the contrary, more than another Andre Berto, he could become another Josesito Lopez.
