Canelo really don't need a belt, his popularity is going to fill the seats. I know he wants to be a champion but he is going to sell.

Canelo is total spoonfed bum dawg from the get. He hasn't won in any legit way any title even @154 the only weight class he's been crusading in. By far Cotto has won multiple titles in different divisions something I don't see Canelo ever doing at all.

Give me your whines and cries about vacant belts but at least he's defended them with good opposition eventually and he's fought them against guys that were at least top 10 in there own division.Plus with out extra help and tricks like open scoring!!

I could care less, all alphabet soups are corrupts one way or another the IBF is the only one with some respectability, not much just a little...

Winning an alphabet belt has nothing to do with being a "champion." Every third or fourth fighter has a "title" of some type. Canelo will make big money whether there is a bull****e belt at stake or not

However very unlikely, but could this mean Floyd is staying at 154?
I'd say there is no one there free to give a good selling fight.

you are trying to compare a 23y fighter to a hof , something wrong there...
like cotto had many great wins at 23... give the kid some time and time will tell us what he is made of... oh and by the way rhodes, trout, and floyd were top 10 at the time....

Forreal! I Won't be totally surprised if they remove this from PPV and make it a free blockbuster PPV worthy card.
