At least beating Provodnikov will give him better leverage in asking for the Bradley rematch.

Instead of sticking with the, "I got robbed" angle, he'll be able to rock a shirt that says something like, "look what I did to the guy you went life and death with."
I think it would. Holding the WBO belt at JWW would help him too

Marquez has already held the W.B.O. title at 140, wtf does he need it again for?

Fighting Provodnikov or Alvarado does nothing for J.M.M.'s already H.O.F. career. Which is why if he fights one of them, he'll fight the easier one, Alvarado.

Some alphabet organizations make champions in weight classes above or below others mandatory or something like that

I'm just confused since Marquez said he'll retire if he doesn't get Bradley

Alvardo will be a tough out for jmm... He is bigger n longer and he can jab abit and stay outside and not fall into jmm's counters... Alvarado seems to buckle under the high pressure fighters ie rios n ruslan... Jmm fights nothing like that and fights at a much calmer pace... This could be a total spoiler fight

Just noticed.... if this happens, this is the second fighter in a row that Marquez is getting off a Ruslan fight.

I remember before the Ruslan fight, there was really no traction in the fight between Marquez and Bradley being made
