Comments Thread For: Roy Jones: Khan Could Give Floyd Mayweather Problems

Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr., at one time, was the pound for pound king of boxing. Now the pound for pound king is Floyd Mayweather Jr. - which Jones fully agrees with. Mayweather is slated to return on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The frontrunner opponent for May is former champion Amir Khan. Many believe the fight will be a mismatch. Not Jones. If Khan sticks to boxing, and not slugging, Jones feels Khan can give Mayweather some problems.

Bull****, Khan is not going to give Mayweather any problems whatsoever and the fact that Jones is suggesting this tells me he's been KO'd one time too many. Khan's a bum, and shall always be one......

Stop Roy your only adding to the problem. Then again you and Floyd have had pretty much the same strategy your entire careers and that is avoiding top opposition and not giving rematches.

He's not a bum but he does have a suspect chin and frankly his ring IQ is piss poor..he starts off fine then instead of sticking to his gameplan he falls into the same routine every fight and that gets him caught in exchanges. His hands are fast and he's rangy but that's only gonna win him a round or 2 early vs Floyd. Not to mention he's never even fought at 147 .

You are delusional. Ever heard of styles make fights?

Just because khan lost to garcia and almost to maidana does not alter the fact that he is a skilled boxer with a weak chin, and lets face it when was the last time Floyd knocked anyone out? This fight will be a chess match, neither of them will make it into a brawl and the superior boxer will win. Floyd will most likely win, but this fight will be closer then the Guerrero and the Canelo fight mark my words.

Yes, but Khan's style SUCKS. You're giving him too much credit. If fighters like Prescott and Willie fucking Limond are able to find him and put him on his ass anyone can! Floyd is highly skilled and super accurate. Khan is predictable at best. He's a sucker for a left hook. Floyd would toy with him for a few rounds until Khan's confidence wears away and that's when Floyd will hurt him.

I'll bet you 50 billi Floyd doesn't just win, but he looks amazing doing it.
It's a fight designed just for that and you're buying right into it.
