The junior middleweight match between former world champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Alfredo Angulo could possibly have the vacant WBC world title at stake, according to the sanctioning body. The fight has been finalized for March 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Whether or not the title will be at stake is fully dependent on the current champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., who captured the belt with a twelve round majority decision over Canelo on September 14th.

I actually like this. I am all for this fight, love the matchup. I'm not fond of it being PPV though... Just can't accept that. A belt would make the fight more entertaining and exciting but still not PPV worthy.
