I guess Tyson will have to cry himself to sleep tonight knowing he won't be getting a sniff at their newly created Diamond Flower Belt Champion of the Week award anytime soon.

Maybe the fans can group together and fine the WBC. What a joke of an organization. If boxing wants to have this much control over fighters (ala NBA), then the least they could do is make better matchups.
The day they have the power to force Manny and Floyd to fight each other is the day I respect their requests on controlling what fighters say to the media. Until that day, orgs like the WBC can screw off.Comment

I'd be happy with a bunch of diehard boxing fans banding together and firebombing each one of the WBC's offices, with Sulaiman and his cronies inside getting vapourised just like how they've vapourised the prestige their belts once had.
Yes, I am openly advocating violence against the WBC's employees.
And why not? With the things they've done to the sport over the past few decades, they are fair game for it.

Haha so Fury was ranked #2, then beat Steve Cunningham, OK not the greatest win but still a lot better than anything Wilder (#3) has ever done and due to his inactivty caused by Haye's injuries has fallen as far as 8!? Charr's managed to get above him on the basis of fighting nobodies too. If he wants to improve his ranking maybe he should fight Audley Harrison so he can match Wilder's most impressive win! You couldn't make this stuff up. The WBC is run by a bunch of jokers.
If I was Fury I'd tell 'em to do one, he can make big paydays whether he has a mickey mouse title anyway and if he keeps winning Wlad will have to fight him sooner or later for the real heavyweight title.Last edited by diarraisagod; 01-09-2014, 01:27 PM.Comment
