it was a hug fest...alexander clinched 170+ times. It wasnt some asss beating that everyone tries to make it out to be.

Hmm... The more I try to remember, more stuff comes back to me, and I really don't feel like watching an Alexander fight because he fucking sucks ass. :yuck: However, didn't he hurt Maidana and damn near stop him at some point? I've got this hazy memory of Maidana stumbling around on wobbly legs, but Alexander just hugged him and didn't finish it.

Garcia or Roach get my vote. Garcia obviously speaks Spanish, but Roach seems to train foreign fighters well and I think he'd be just as well-suited stylistically.

A few of Matthysse's problems were exposed in that fight, but it was still a close and hard-fought battle and he's clearly still got potential if he makes the right moves from this point on.

Man! That's some great news. Matthysse would have won against Garcia if he had Robert in his corner. Bunch of dumasses, Matthysse deserves better than a team of amateurs like that. Robert Garcia plus Matthysse skills and power would be an outstanding combination.
Broner vs Matthysse would be a good fight for as long as it lasts, but if Mathysse is on a good night he can damage that boy worse than Maidana.

I was rooting for Lucas against Danny in that one . My hat was off to Danny a true American champ. Much respect to him. Lucas was still a beast Great fight, he'll be right back to top contention this year

Such as? Imo Lucas did pretty much everything right until he couldn't see out of one eye. Unlike Maidana, I don't think Matthysse needs Garcia. He was just unlucky on the night. He also said in a prior interview that the last time he trained in the US, the fight did not go well.

I think he should go with Roach whom you can all an offensive guru in boxing cuz matthysse needs to diversify his offense as well if we wanna keep hopes alive for maidana vs matthysse. I was rooting for Matthysse myself (since Garcia KOed Khan) but i think he fell in love with his power too much and was better than how he did vs Garcia.

With that said hats off to Garcia cuz Matthysse is a machine.
