Good to see martinez, maidana and matthysse appreciate each other. No jealousy or anything considering Maidana has won two world titles two weight classes vs Matthysse who hasnt won any, well he couldve vs Peterson.

Did Alexander hold a lot or something, like a Ward-style gameplan?
it was a hug fest...alexander clinched 170+ times. It wasnt some asss beating that everyone tries to make it out to be.

In that same interview Lucas explained why he said he wanted to retire a month ago. Most of he team had disbanded and he found himself alone with Cuty Barrera. He also said Arano (his manager) didn't understand him. Since then lots of people has been asking him on Facebook and twitter to go to United States to train. Most of them want him to train with Robert García.

I really hope he does go to the states and train with Garcia. I think it would be great for his career. Would like to see him against another top guy at 140.

that's ****ing depressing. they took that loss hard. he wasn't knocked out or blown out on the cards or anything, it was still a great fight.

I would like to see Matthysse work with either Roach or Garcia. Garcia seems more tactical than Roach. Roach, however, is great with teaching head movement, feinting, cutting off the ring, and combination punches. Just look at Provodnikov pre and post Roach. I think Roach would be a great trainer for him, though Garcia would also be good.
