Good to see martinez, maidana and matthysse appreciate each other. No jealousy or anything considering Maidana has won two world titles two weight classes vs Matthysse who hasnt won any, well he couldve vs Peterson.

I haven't seen their fight since it happened, but I do clearly remember Alexander trouncing Maidana badly. I'd have to watch it again. Did Alexander hold a lot or something, like a Ward-style gameplan?

In that same interview Lucas explained why he said he wanted to retire a month ago. Most of he team had disbanded and he found himself alone with Cuty Barrera. He also said Arano (his manager) didn't understand him. Since then lots of people has been asking him on Facebook and twitter to go to United States to train. Most of them want him to train with Robert García.Last edited by Nicolino; 01-07-2014, 06:25 PM.

I would like to see Matthysse work with either Roach or Garcia. Garcia seems more tactical than Roach. Roach, however, is great with teaching head movement, feinting, cutting off the ring, and combination punches. Just look at Provodnikov pre and post Roach. I think Roach would be a great trainer for him, though Garcia would also be good.
