the vast majority of people don't go to boxing matches to watch decisions....... people go for the spectacular knockouts and stoppages of your opponet that show dominance....

Easier said than done, bro. These are fighters at the world level. **** ain't easy. And shooting for spectacular KOs can also get you murked. Manny paid that price dearly.

floyd still should be stopping these guys man... i know its not easy

my problem with decision wins, is that their ultimatelly subjective, and the judges have different criteria of judging a fight

stoppping your opponet, is the true way to win because you win, pretty much objectivelly (although the ref is the one that makes the decision)..but its still pretty objective... you win, you shown true dominance

even if it is a dominating decision, you never stopped that opponent, you just beat him in whatever how many rounds that fight was

ok you dominate a guy in 12 rounds, but say the fight was a 20 rounder....... whats to say the other opponet that has been losing those 12 rounds, starts to kick it up a notch, maybe he has conserved his stamina better.. and starts to take over....

thats my problem with victories by scorecards

You can't count Victor Ortiz, it was a cheap shot.

You can't expect a fighter to get a KO every time they come out. Yes a KO or stoppage win is more entertaining to watch but a win is a win and thats whats important.

So, he isn't a knockout artist. It doesn't make him any less of a fighter.

same with pac, from clottey to bradley (4 decisions) no knockouts

andre ward hardly stops his opponets

If it was a 15 rounder, Guerrero would have coughed it up in round 14.

yes, this reminds me of the young clay/ali who got people excited by predicting what round he's going to finish his opponents....

the real measure of ali's greatness is being ali himself...the goat

small guys were never known for knockouts

most fights under super-middleweight go 12 rounds

fighting and dominating ur opponent for 12 rounds is more impressive than a knockout to me

boxers who get knocked just claim their opponent was lucky see khan vs garcia, pac vs jmm.."lucky punch"
