In Sergey's first 15 fights, he was fighting guys with records of 1-3, 6-20, 17-15, 9-23. While Shumenov in his first 15 fights has fought 5 former or current world champions and guys with records of 22-0 and 23-0. There will always be haters of fighters but the truth of the matter is Shumenov's record in his 15 fights is unheard of and amazing when you compare it to others. In Shumenov's 5th fight, he was fighting a guy 26-2 while Kovalev was fighting a guy 6-20.
With all of that, he has only beat 1 top 30 guy in his career and got his ass beat by campillo 2X.

Kovalev destroyed that same guy and has beat another top 10 guy and a top 20 guy, all in 1 year.

Oh but Shumenov fought a 26-2 guy in his 5th fight, who was a jr middle weight that retired and didnt win a fight in more then 8 years

He fought good fighters in the beginning, but has dont nothing even decent at the world class level and was severely exposed, twice. Of course Czech republics top LHW put him back on top!

If this fight ever gets made, Shumenov will end up on life support. He'll get absolutely pummeled.

Truth of the matter is Shumenov has been a fraud since he lost to Campillo a second time and was handed Campillo's title. Four years since, he refused to rematch Campillo and fought some bull**** "title" defenses. Whether he fought some opponents with loaded, cupcake-filled undefeated records is irrelevant. Fighting opponents who once held alphabet belts is also irrelevant, since every third or fourth fighter these days gets a belt of some kind as long as they pay an effing sanctioning fee

NBC won't have enough money... And shymenov probably facing desperate ass Hopkins next

I don't think anyone disputes the fact that Kovalev can beat Shumenov. I like Shumenov because of the fact that I don't think he's ****ing around when he says he'll fight Kovalev ASAP.

You got a guy like stevensen who starts stuttering, changing the subject, avoiding the question, etc when asked about Kovalev. Shumenov is like "let's do this schit".

              I like the guy

I love it when a fighter being ducked gets called out by someone in his weight class like what!

He didn't just call Kovalev out after the network beef as some safe haven.

He was responding to Kovalev's comments about the WBA super champ situation. That's how Kovalev's name came up. He said he thought they were friends which is why he never said anything before. But he feels like Kovalev was taking indirect shots at him which is why he's replying right now.

I'm starting to think you didn't read the article?

He said lets do it, when he knows he's with GBP, so the fight cant happen since Kovalev almost certainly has a contract to HBO and he's fighting Hopkins next. But he said lets do it, thats all that counts i guess
