Actually, he's sort of correct. Deuteronomy 25:5 says the following:

There is the technicality that Johnny did already have kids with her and there already is a junior, so they might be pulling a fast one here. Before the age of the car, working women, and the welfare state it was really common for practical reasons. (Which likely informed the religious reasons.) A little squicky to contemporary sensibilities, but it makes sense from a shared traumatic event POV.

It's not difficult to understand how the two ended up together; however I wouldn't expect the people on this site to understand. When a husband passes away it is not unnatural for his brother to step in and support his widowed wife and children; the support would be emotional as well as physical; however when you're dealing with men and women those factors create confusion that will often result in a relationship.
