Prime Paul Williams vs. Current Floyd Mayweather at 147 and 154

Who do think wins in this fight?? I am talking about (Pre martinez Ko) Paul Williams vs. soon to be 37 yrs.old Floyd.

Do you think FMJ might out box him ala Carlos Quintana in his first fight with the Punisher??

Lara had some great counter punching success against (Post Martinez KO) Paul Williams.

Prime Paul Williams would of been a nightmare for floyd imo height, reach advantage southpaw but most of all work rate. Guys with high work rate would all give floyd hell.. E.g Paul Williams, pacquiao, margarito. But floyd can outbox him If Quintana could do it I'm sure floyd would do it a lot easier

There was a time when I saw Canelo giving Mayweather a really good fight, it wasn't until he displayed his movement against Guerrero that I realized Canelo didn't have much of a shot. The same stands here, my opinion would have been different had you asked me this question a couple of years back. Mayweather's movement will not only cause Williams to constantly reset but also reach in, leaving himself open for counters. Cintron did that effectively as well, then he decided to go for a dive

PW was a KO waiting to happen, and Maravilla showed that.

May would outbox him easy. He would do the same thing that he did against Corrales

Yes, Carlos beat Punisher. So did Lara and Martinez. But those 3 have something in common that Floyd isn't, southpaws.

The Punisher's size, reach, workrate and stamina are the very things that would give Floyd problems. Which is why Floyd didn't even fight the lesser version of Paul, Margarito.

The Punisher isn't the average try to box idiot who allowed themselves to be schooled. He'd keep the pressure on, walk through the pitty pat pot shots and throw 100 punches a round at Floyd. Forcing him to be defensive the entire evening and beat him soundly.

Reach? Sure Williams was tall but he fought like he was 5'4. All slouched over lunging in with his shots. Prime P Will couldn't beat no version of Floyd.

WIlliams has all the tools to beat floyd. The problem is he doesn't use those tools as he should when he was fighting. That said he could change up and fight a more disciplined fight-like Barrera did against Hamed-, use his height and reach to jab and fight from the outside and pull an upset.

If he fights like he usually did he loses IMO.

A disaster style wise for Mayweather, Williams pulls the upset.
