Stevenson isn't afraid of Kovalev but he is concerned with his longevity. He knows that Kovalev is the biggest fight, with the biggest reward but he is obviously more interested in collecting a couple minor checks as the champion before facing him. That to me says that he is smart enough to know that he could very well lose that fight. Casual fans are not up on this fight. They won't be anymore hip to the light heavyweight division by next year either. Just as many fans are watching Kovalev than they're watching Stevenson.

Ward needs to move up. Not now but in the next couple of fights he should be looking at Stevenson/ Kovalev. GGG has more work to accomplish at middleweight and he should stay and finish the job. Ward has already cleaned 168 out, so the logical step is upwards not downwards. so go UP Ward.

Let those happen before anyone jumps divisions to fight each other.
... Now, all of a soudain, Wardz turned into a little cat -- he still has "nice" fights at 168, etc, etc... Fights like what? Is Pavlik coming back from the rehab?
... Few days ago, Wardz was brave, he called a smaller GGG... Now GGG's buddy (who's Wards' size) is calling Andre... Those who labelled GGG a "duck" yesterday, now are saying that everybody should stay calm in their respective divisions and let Wardz sleep few more years -- until Floyd retires and elliberrates #1...

Ward could fight Groves, he could fight a Froch rematch, he could fight a Dirrell, he could fight Chavez. There's fights left for Ward at 168 while Kovalev and Stevenson prove who is best at 175, and Golovkin hopefully gets his chance at Martinez.

None of those mentioned above will fight Ward. Froch and Groves will fight each other for a pile of money... Chavez may look ****** but he's not fool... As about the Dirrell bros I'd choose not to speak.

I'm sure someone will fight Ward. I'd rather he wait at 168 until Golovkin hopefully capitalizes on a chance to beat Martinez, or even better if Ward waited to fight the winner of Stevenson/Kovalev.

Why fight Stevenson or Kovalev now when fighting the winner between those two would mean so much more? Why try to fight Golovkin now when the fight would be so much better if Golovkin was the man at middleweight?

If Ward was going to move up, he should fight the Pascal/Bute winner, if possible.

... If it's Pascal, he will... If it's not Pascal, he'll fight Sartison (non-televised bout, unfortunately).

Lol.... But it's different with golovkin for some reason.
Golovkin should move up when he's ready and also work to be lineal champ in his division..... But he's a coward for not moving up

Golovkin said he would fight anyone from 154 to 168. If he's not ready to move up then he shouldn't make those kinds of claims.

He doesn't have to move up. He can take one off fights at either weight when offered.
