You right Edwin signed with Haymon before the fight was made. The fight got made because they really didn't have an opponent for Ward at the time. Lou Dibella who is Edwin's promoter helped with getting the fight done with Al Haymon and HBO.

Chad Dawson signing up with Al Haymon is a good move for him to get paid but all the fighters from 168 to 175 fight on HBO.

All it means is that he'll start getting questionable decision victories from here on out. I thought highly of "Bad Chad" but he is missing a couple puzzle pieces up stairs. Haymon will have to buy victories for him from here on out.
