Chad Dawson signs with Al Haymon.

Chad Dawson signing up with Al Haymon is a good move for him to get paid but all the fighters from 168 to 175 fight on HBO.

Edwin Rodriguez is with Haymon and his last fight was on HBO so I don't think it is an impediment.

Edwin had a promoter HBO deals with, LDB. Is Dawson still with Gary Shaw? I thought he tried to get rid of him

I thought Ward vs Rodriguez was already signed before he signed with Haymon I could be wrong though.

I really want to see Dawson vs Campillo. Perfect crossroads fights. Neither have to worry about getting knocked out.

He signed with Haymon around that time, when HBO offered it. Seems to signed with Haymon to have more leverage in negotiating with HBO.

Super middleweight contender Edwin Rodriguez (24-0, 16KOs) recently signed with boxing power broker Al Haymon. Rodriguez explained his move in a detailed interview with the Worcester Telegram. The boxer had a meeting with HBO a few weeks ago, where the network offered him a September fight with WBA champion Andre Ward. Rodriguez told HBO that he wouldn't be ready in time for a September fight. He was willing to face Ward in November, an idea that HBO rejected. He told the paper that HBO also balked at the idea of putting him against an alternative opponent like Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham or Lucian Bute.
