Who's the biggest hype job in boxing today?

theres different institutions in boxing:

- networks like hbo and showtime
- governing bodies
- hardcore boxing fans
- casual fans
- promoters

now how these different peeps view a fighter determines whether you think the guy is a hypejob or not.

for example, wilder hasn't fought anyone ranked in the top 60 i read somewhere yet this is how he is seen by the diff sections in boxing:

- governing bodies - HIGH - wbo and wba rank him top 10.
- networks - MEDIUM - hes been on tv, was on bhop-murat undercard
- promoter - HIGH - gbp done a damn good job overhyping this dude. schaefer talks him up but knows deep down what they been doing.
- casual fans - HIGH - "omg hes got 30 kos in 30 fights". wilder was on a uk radio station Talk Sport hyping a Tyson Fury fight.
- hardcore fans - LOW - we know whats up.

overall conclusion, OVERHYPED. only hardcore fans are ranking him where he should be at the moment.

sidenote: bojangles - loving your triangle theory - impressive ish. we waiting on the next one. obv theres not one as epic as that one but you gotta be able to find something. ill try on boxrec for 5mins before i give up.

Most American fans who want an American heavyweight champ? Ok, on this forum there aren't too many casual fans so we can see through the hype for what he has really accomplished - beaten 30 tomato cans, but the general fan/broadcaster/armchair critic of the current era definitely thinks that Wilder is the next big thing while he has this perfect ko record and is a hurricane who can take out any1 in the division with 1 spin of the windmill.
