I think it's unlikely for Lara to win by stoppage, and I also think it would be unlikely for Canelo to win a clear decision. Both fighters are overhyped to an extent IMO, but Canelo is much younger so he should still be improving.

If it's a decision, probably Lara a tight UD, if it's a stoppage I think Canelo gets it.

You must find Floyd Rigondeaux and Ward boring and one dimensional as well. Aren't they safety first defensive fighters?
Floyd comes forward at times and puts his chin at risk plenty. Rigo and Lara mostly circle or fight on the back foot. That doesn't mean their not good fighters it just means their one dimensional. I think their good counter punchers. Neither one are elite defensive fighters. Their OK but not elite.

Canelo by robbery should've been an option.

I guess you could just imagine 'Canelo by decision' IS that option...

I think it's a very close fight that could be won by either man. I voted Canelo by KO because I am a loyal Canelo fan. A KO seems like his best bet for the win. Lara would be hard to beat on points. I think Canelo has a better chin and a harder punch. Lara has been knocked down and hurt a few times while Canelo has never been down and I've only seen him hurt once by Cotto's brother when he was just a teenager. He recovered nicely and KOed Cotto's brother.

I favor Lara in the matchup, but only slightly. I think it's a 55-45 fight. Canelo has been so hyped up that he's become underrated to me. I think it would be a great fight. Lara via close decision

But his best performances were again the best 2 fighters he has faced. If he isnt that good, why doesnt Canelo just fight him? Or at least consider him.

They can throw this in a 16x16 ring and Alvarez will still get comprehensively outboxed. Lara will never let him get his feet set and probably wouldn't have to move as much and waste as much energy like he did against Angulo, who is a pure pressure fighter in every way. I'd actually give someone like Kirkland more of a shot of beating Lara than I would Alvarez.
