For all the may weather comparisons he has displayed none f the intelligence or ring generalship. Broner is often looking for the counter and if you move he has to constantly reset like the Paulie fight. He's just not versatile.hes a great addition to the division because he's polarizing but he did nothing to be pound for pound.Comment

What footwork? But in all seriousness, maybe a 5. He's pretty good at cutting off the ring. But, he is extremely flatfooted, backs himself straight into the ropes, and doesn't seem to pivot much.Comment

This. His shoulder roll is more defensive than anticipation. Which is why it's only marginally effective against guys like maidan a and Paulie. Against demarco who is a straight up fighter without a jab he struggled. May weather anticipates which is why it works for him. A lot of fans don't understand that defense is not meant to be used as your only weapon you must anticipate what's coming not wait to block it so someone can go over the top like Marcos did.Comment

His footwork is the definition of rudimentary.
Other than his inside combination punching, the dude is as basic as it gets. He just has uber hand speed, and power at the lower weight classes.Comment
