By Jake Donovan - A major crossroads bout in the heavyweight division is on the books, as contenders Odlanier Solis and Tony Thompson have reportedly agreed to terms for a March 22 showdown in Turkey.

"All contracts are signed, the fight is on", promoter Ahmet Oner confirmed in a press statement Friday morning. "Solis vs. Thompson is a great fight which I could actually do everywhere because it will gather lots of interest worldwide.
“I am very happy that all parties accepted and agreed. These are the fights we need to revive the heavyweight division." [Click Here To Read More]

What???? Gotta Be Kidding Me. Thompson Has Never Won A World Title In His Prime. He's 42, Fight's A Joke. If Solís Doesn't Win With A Statement. Fat Boy Should Retire

Thompson knocked out twice what was said to be " the next big Thing" in Great Britain. He gave Wladimir Klitschko some Troubles in their first fight, he beat Luan Krasniqi.

Kubrat Pulev is extremely underrated in my opinion. Still, Thompson won the first 2-3 rounds before gassing out thanks to his great idea to show up at 119kg.

Be surprised if Solis doesn't stop him. He looked dead by the 6th in the Pulev fight, only Pulev's lack of ability to throw anything other than a 1-2 saved him from getting stopped.

Tony Thompson has now became the gate-keeper to fighting Wladimir Klitschko

Like it or not this fite will show something about Solis. Not that beating Thompson makes Solis great, but thompson with age has become "crafty" so someone like Solis will get tested by the old man.
