Thompson's only Chance is to show up at 110-112kg in a great shape and to fight like in 2008 against Wladimir Klitschko. He definitely has more experience but Solis is more talented, works harder and is mentally stronger in my opinion.

60-40 fight in favour of Solis. If Thompson Comes in a great shape, I would then rate it as a 55-45 fight still in favour of Solis

If Solis turns up in shape (probably won't) it's 90/10 in favour of Solis whatever shape Thompsons in.

When does Solis ever turn up in shape?!

        In the amateurs?

Thompson isn't an old 42, wouldn't be surprised if he knocks out this fat, wasted talent

Kubrat Pulev is extremely underrated in my opinion. Still, Thompson won the first 2-3 rounds before gassing out thanks to his great idea to show up at 119kg.
He took the fight on short notice and thus didn't have a full camp. Saying that, he was pretty fleshy for Price II.

              You are right.

Still, a fat Solis should put Tony The Tiger out of commission.

A fat forty something Thompson is still a BAMF and Pulev was allowed to get away with randomly grabbing and pulling down on his head like he wanted a BJ just to tire him out. And Pulev doesn't even normally do that. He was having legit trouble with Thompson. The Tiger can fight.

Good match up,should Solis overcome Thompson it doesn't by any means warrant or deserve a title shot, you can't suddenly declare yourself the logical choice after beating Thompson, the guy in recent memory has only beaten the British hype job Price.

That said I just don't see Solis taking on anyone else of note other than a Johnson or Thompson,it's pathetic really, hopefully some new box offs will be ordered and the likes of Solis,Fury and Adamek will adhere to them this time.

Even if he wins Solis still black listed for me unless he shows up in shape and shows he gives a fk for once not enough to sc**** by on talent alone. I think Karma got him when his knee blew out literally for being obese in the biggest fight of his career if he didn't learn from that then it is a lost cause.

Good fight for both guys,, winner solidifies his spot in the top 10, loser will be bounced out of contention...

If solis is the goods, he should win by mid rounds stoppage,,

I fear both guys will gas and we will get a stinker of a fight for 12 rounds
